The Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments is a vocationally related qualification and is focused on reducing hair growth and photo rejuvenation of the skin using intense light and laser treatments.

Throughout this qualification you will develop an understanding of managing safe working practices and how to identify hair and skin conditions and those clients suitable for intense light and laser system treatments.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The theory element of this training course will be delivered online prior to attendance for your practical sessions, this will also be recapped during the course and you will have access to discuss any queries with a tutor throughout the online learning process.

A 6-day course in which you’ll learn and develop an understanding of managing safe working practices, controlling hazards, and techniques using the advanced IPL for the treatment of vascular lesions, toning, pigment removal, red vein removal, acne and general skin rejuvenation. You will gain core knowledge of electromagnetic spectrum, light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation (laser) and intense pulsed light (IPL)

Laser and light treatments for skin rejuvenation

Practical technique is taught throughout the first 4 days, in which you will be working on live models.

Day 3 – Practical session covering all areas working on clients

Day 4 – Practical session covering 3 assessments on  hair removal

Day 6– Practical assessment covering 3 for skin rejuvenation and assignment feedback

You must hold a level 3 beauty or above related qualification prior to undertaking this course or Level 3 A&P
